The author forgot to include the actual cause of battery degradation(i.e battery life) over long term.
Wrong info given. HP recommends you guys to remove the battery while not in use and to insert the battery when its charging.
HP Recommends you remove it only if Plugged in for more than 2 weeks.
Remove the battery if the notebook will be stored (turned off and not plugged into AC power) for more than 2 weeks. -HP
