Norton earns the ‘Best Product of 2009′

2010 started with a bang, well the Norton team over at Symantec were presented with a nice New Year Present. The Norton 2010 products received the title of ‘Best Products of 2009’ by independent test organisation AV-Comparatives

The Anti-Virus Comparative Summary Report is an annual year-end report by AV-Comparatives, which summarises the result of extensive tests among high-quality Anti-Virus products such as Norton by Symantec, Kaspersky and McAfee. Overall, Norton almost topped the whole test with a few exceptions.

After various rounds of rigorous testing on the products which include Malware Detection tests, Scanning Speed tests and Dynamic Protection tests, Symantec emerged the overall winner of 2009.
