Recently, I read an interesting article on techcrunch. It is about the recently launch facebook custom URL that link to your profile.

Eg. www.facebook.com/usernamehere
Well apparently some clever techies did some creative stuff. Their url is www.facebook.com/default.aspx. On the surface, it just seems like a normal facebook pages, however, this link actually pointed to someone profile.

To add on to the humour, facebook is writen in PHP not ASP.NET. (Anyway, I think facebook realize it and remove it)

There is another one that is pretty creative. www.facebook.com/wp-admin. Those who are familar with wordpress will know wp-admin is the login box to login to admin backend. But definately, facebook is not running on wordpress.

So I decided to do some creative stuff too. This is my final result after many failed attempt.

http://www.facebook.com/puter.hackers

So what is your creative vanity url?

PS: You can only set your vanity url once. So once you set to some creative like mine, it will be yours forever and as of now, there is no single way to change it.

VMware demoed a touchscreen Nokia N800 featuring its mobile hypervisor at its VMworld Europe 2009 conference in Cannes today, showing Windows CE and Google's Android running at the same time.
Customers can run two operating systems on one phone simultaneously, or move their phone's contacts, apps and other data from handset to handset easily using virtualisation technology regardless of the underlying hardware or the user interface or input method.
The phones with VMware's mobile virtualisation platform will have 2 main functions.

Allow users back up their system and data on a VM, so that they can easily transfer contacts and other information regardless of the operating system if they get a new phone.

Run multiple VM instances on a single phone allowing users have multiple profiles on the same phone, transfer profiles & data sets across handsets.

However the system is still under testing.

This feat could not normally be done by the N95's ARM processor, but thanks to an emulator known as DOSBox for Symbian, the ARM chip emulates the x86 architecture...a 486, to be exact, according to Marcin.

Remember a previous optional update from nVidia that allows any games to be played with stereoscopic vision (3D) with a specialised LCD screen and 3D glasses. That was really cool as it takes RPG-based game into the next level by making the “3D Images” come alive like those 3D movies you see at discovery centre.

The GeForce 3D Vision package comes with powered 3D glasses (no red / blue silliness here, charged via USB) and an IR emitter to keep everything synced between the display and your glasses. Left 4 Dead, WoW: WotLK and several other games are already compatible with more expected to come soon.
